News & Events

Due to our current limited space for large animals, the center staff recommended, and the Center Advisory Board approved, a temporary moratorium effective February 1, 2018, on large animal enrollments.  We are working with the college and the university to develop new and larger facilities and enrollment will be re-opened as soon as that is accomplished.

Happy 2018 from the staff and pets of the Stevenson Center.

Farewell to our beloved Reveille VIII

We are overcome with grief at the loss of Miss Rev in June 2018 to cancer.  It was the center's privilege and honor to care for Reveille in her three years of retirement after serving for seven years as the TAMU mascot.  She was as regal in retirement as she was during her service to the university.  Our hearts are broken as we carry on our days without her.  Miss Rev was a wonderful girl with a beautiufl soul and we will always feel her absence.  Rest in peace, dear friend.

Reveille VIII Retired at the Stevenson Center

Reveille, the First Lady of Texas A&M, retired to the Stevenson Companion Animal Life-Care Center in May of 2015.  The entire staff of the center is honored and excited to be able to provide Reveille with the comfort and love she has always enjoyed as she begins her retirement.  She receives the same excellent veterinary care that all of our resident pets are afforded at the Texas A&M University Veterinary Medical Teaching Hospital.  We are so happy and proud that Reveille has joined our center family.

Rev 2

Reveille was honored by Texas A&M Girls' Basketball Head Coach, Gary Blair, on Feb. 16, 2015 with a plaque commemorating her 7 years of service to Texas A&M University. The College of Veterinary Medicine & Biomedical Sciences was also recognized at this presentation.
