The histology laboratory is a full service histopathology facility
which is directed by a faculty member with a staff of 3 full-time
technicians. In addition to offering routine tissue processing, sectioning
and staining, a full range of special stains for diagnostic and research
needs are available.
The immunohistochemical laboratory offers immunostaining for a variety of normal and tumor antigens as well as supporting the research needs of the faculty and staff of the university. Contact Dr. Ambrus for information on these services (aambrus@cvm.tamu.edu).
Tissue samples may also be submitted for frozen sectioning and plastic embedding.
In the near future, enzyme histochemistry and in-situ PCR will be available.
