The VTBP Storeroom/Receiving Area is located on the 2nd floor of the VMS building in Room 215. Emmy Welch oversees the area. She orders all the stockroom items and works with various vendors to make sure we get the lowest possible prices. Her shelves are neatly stocked with lab supplies, chemicals and limited number of office supplies.
Emmy receives all packages for the department. She logs in all the packages, makes sure they are delivered to the correct labs and offices, and provides packing slips to accounting so that invoices can be paid in a timely manner. Emmy also maintains the Stores Database. The database has many functions, including a complete inventory of all stock items, re-order points to assure items that are low in stock are reordered, and disbursement statements for accounting.
