Imaging

The clinical coverage of the imaging service will be shared with other board-certified radiologist colleagues. The majority of clinical activity time for each radiologist will be devoted to instruction and diagnostic imaging in the Veterinary Medical Teaching Hospital (VMTH).  The radiologist will supervise and aid veterinary students, house officers and faculty colleagues in the imaging

diagnosis of diseases of patients admitted to the Veterinary Medical Teaching Hospital. The radiologist will share with other radiologists in disseminating knowledge and mentorship of veterinary students, interns, and residents as these individuals develop their imaging skills. The radiologist will team-teach in didactic lectures and laboratories related to imaging in the veterinary professional curriculum. Numerous opportunities for collaborative research exist throughout the College and University. The radiologist will have opportunity to provide leadership for development and introduction of new techniques and concepts that will enhance the quality and scope of the Veterinary Medical Teaching Hospital’s patient care programs and the College of Veterinary Medicine at Texas A&M University. Each radiologist has the opportunity to provide and participate in continuing education presentations in state, national, and specialty meetings. Mentorship for faculty development will be provided to entry level radiologists.
