SVECCS @ Texas A&M - Mini-Externships

Mini-externships allow students to work with veterinarians at emergency clinics in Austin, Dallas/Fort Worth, Houston, and San Antonio. Students may choose a weekend day or night shift at any of these Texas clinics for their mini-externship(s). For the last three years SVECCS has offered this program, we have had very positive feedback from both participating vet students and hosting veterinarians. The doctors are enthusiastic about teaching students, and most clinics will allow students to help take care of their in-house patients. These externships are also a wonderful opportunity to make contacts for possible future jobs.

Sign-up sheets are located downstairs across from the student mailboxes. A hard copy of participating practice descriptions is kept in the same location as the sign-up roster. This program is open to all veterinary students, but SVECCS members will have the first choices of shifts.
