President - Leslie Pusateri, 2VM

Year of Graduation: 2012
Positions held: President 2009-2010.
Pets: Two cats (assuming one doesn't count the three others at her parents' house): Isis, who is too smart and loud and nauseated for her own good; and Allie, who is roly-poly and grumbly and delighted to live with Leslie's husband instead of having to bunk with Isis.
Leslie has an embarrassing kitty-voice, but don't try and pretend yours is any better. When not in over her head with vet school stuff, she loves hanging out with her mechanical engineer husband, traveling overseas, learning foreign languages, and eating. She will go see almost any movie in the theater (even if she knows it's going to be bad), and she is also active in Texas A&M's SCACVIM and SCASLAP chapters.
Vice-President:Regina Roach, 3VM

Regina is a member of the class of 2011 and is the current 2VM rep for AAFP. She has a black cat, Bagheera, who keeps her busy with his antics. Regina is a student resident at the Stevenson Companion Animal Life Care Center, where she enjoys caring for the many resident animals. She loves to read, hike, and spend her free time with friends and family.
Treasurer - Samantha Thomas, 3VM

Year of Graduation: 2011
Positions held: 1VM rep, Treasurer
I am a third year vet student interested in going into mixed animal practice. I grew up in Lubbock and can’t wait to get back to that area of Texas! I have been married five years to an amazing man, Jeremiah, whom I have known since I was 4. I am so lucky with how much he is involved in my vet school experience, and he is even the President elect for the SCAVMA Auxiliary.
Pets: I grew up as a dog person, but that started to change when I got my first cat. I now love both dogs and cats equally ?. Together, we now have 7 cats, 3 dogs, a rabbit, 4 birds, and 3 aquariums full of fish. If I had the land and the money I would also have horses. My family calls our house a zoo, but I wouldn’t have it any other way.
Other than veterinary medicine, my interests include: home improvement (we are remodeling our entire house), cooking, traveling, eating out, going to the movies, watching TV, and spending time with my husband, family, and the pets.
Secretary: Pamela Holmes , 3VM

Year of Graduation: 2011
Pets: I have two cats, Claudius and Bugle, a three-legged papillon mix, Skipper, and boxer-hound mix, Charlie (my million-dollar “free” dog)
I love to watch sports, especially baseball (go ‘Stros!), basketball (Spurs!), and college football (I’m not telling…). I love to read Agatha Christie mysteries as well as Janet Evanovich, and whatever else I can read in order to procrastinate. Right now, my main interest is in neurology and I would love to work in that field some day.
Technology Officer: Kim Bennett, 2VM
Graduation Year: 2012
Pets: Kim has a delightful 6 year old, DMH grey tabby named Elli. Elli has all the best things about cats and none of those things people talk about when they say they hate cats (what a horrible thing to say!) This summer, Kim acquired a little orange boy kitty named Hodgins who is, quite frankly, a monster. But, she loves him anyway (despite his apparent blood feud against toilet paper and distaste for knick knacks.)
In her "free time" (which is something she's heard about, but isn't convinced exists), Kim loves TV, movies and reading. She hopes to some day end up as a lab animal vet or in research, but is going to go into practice for several years after she graduates. She is also VP of SCASLAP and the Chair of the Governmental Affairs Committee.
Open House Chair: Erin McMaster, 3VM

Year of graduation: 2011
Position: Open House Chair
Pets: I have one of the Physiology Lab dogs, Annie (a little neurotic, but the most loyal companion I could have ever asked for); a sweet but very independent cat, Cleo; a new wild and crazy puppy, Rome (none of us will ever be the same); a goldfish, Moo (It’s a sad life for a fish in a bowl, but I guess it’s better than the plastic bag he came in at the fair.); and two rats, Mr. Bingley and Mr. Darcy.
Me: More than anything, I enjoy spending time with my beautiful family: My mom Mary, my brother Joey, and my amazing grandparents who live in North Carolina (my home away from home). Traveling is also one of my favorite things to do, whether it’s taking a short drive to camp in the hill country, or going 1,100 miles to the Carolina coast for a summer of fun in the sun. (I realize those summers are long gone!)
Things to do before I leave this earth: Visit the homelands of my ancestors(Italy, Ireland, Scotland, and Wales), visit every National Park in America, own a motorcycle and a horse(#1 on my Christmas list every year), and learn how to live everyday with my eyes to the sky, laughing with joy, and loving with all of my heart.
AFCAT Liason: Allegra Lamison, 2VM

Year of Graduation: 2012
Positions held: AFCAT Liason
Pets: I have a 22-pound terrier mix named "Terry". (I didn't think I was going to keep him when I named him, so no points for creativity.)
I am the current AFCAT President so I am very excited to be able to work closely with FP next year as the AFCAT Liason. My interests include half-price book stores, pillows, and stealing other people's family recipies.
4VM co-rep: ??
3VM rep: Joyce Li

Graduation Year: 2011
Joyce has three cats and is well on her way to collecting every color of
the rainbow (although she has been given a 3 pet limit). Pudge (white
tabby, DSH), Vicious (Black tabby, DSH), and Faye (brown tabby, DSH) are
all 5 years old. They enjoy taking naps in a pile on the couch as close
to Joyce's face as possible, and monorailing their new three level cat
tree Joyce had made for her birthday.
Joyce is a native of Houston, and plans to move back there after vet
school. Her ideal job would be to work at an emergency feline only
veterinary clinic. She is a real night owl, likes taking macro
pictures, and enjoys watching any shows involving true crime, live
births, medical mysteries, or cooking. She's excited about third year
and can't wait to touch live animals.
2VM rep: Ashley Stricklin
Year of Graduation: 2012
Positions held: 2VM rep
Pets: Orion, who is a black cat, and maybe my current bottle-kitty who is yet-to-be-named.
Ashley loves vet school and enjoys animals of all shapes and sizes, especially kitties and horses. In her free time, she enjoys the outdoors, scouts the world looking for the perfect photo-op, reads just about any animal-related book (especially James Herriot books), and watches House at every opportunity. She enjoys visiting her family in good ol’ San Antonio, but they come watch the Aggie football games and often incidentally visit her more often than she gets home. She is an active member of multiple other clubs at Texas A&M including SCAVMA, AAEP, SFT, and SRP.
