The various component parts of the Texas Veterinary Medical Center offer a wide range of graduate programs leading to M.S. (thesis or non-thesis) and Ph.D. degrees. Degree programs are available through the five academic departments in the College of Veterinary Medicine & Biomedical Sciences. M.S. degree programs are offered in laboratory animal medicine, science and technology in journalism, epidemiology, veterinary public health, and biomedical sciences. Ph.D. degree programs are offered in veterinary microbiology, veterinary pathology (D.V.M. required), and biomedical sciences. Additionally, some of the programs are interdisciplinary, crossing departmental and College lines (e.g., programs in genetics, toxicology and nutrition).
