About the Quality Enhancement Plan Council

The College of Veterinary Medicine and Biomedical Sciences Quality Enhancement Plan (QEP) Council is charged with the responsibility of guiding the planning and implementation of outcomes assessments within the college. According to Ava M. Trent, outcomes assessment is, "...a systematic process that connects the mission, goals, and objectives of a program with a range of measurable and related outcomes for the purpose of improving the program’s success in achieving its goals and meeting its mission.”

The CVM QEP council is currently engaged in a project to develop better tools for assessing clinical problem solving among students in the Doctor of Veterinary Medicine program. This project is being funded by a grant from the Office of the Executive Vice President and Provost at Texas A&M University.
