Blackie
was one of Mrs. Madlin Stevenson's beloved dogs. She entered the
center in September of 2000. Blackie never had any problems with the
other dogs or cats at the center. She was loved by everyone at the
center, especially Janet with whom she had a special bond. Blackie
loved all of the humans in her life but her love for Janet was unique and
intense. Wherever Janet was Blackie was right behind. They had
a beautiful, loving relationship which will always be remembered fondly by
the staff.
Blackie was approximately 15 years old
when she was diagnosed with bone cancer. It was a pleasure having
her with us for three years. She is and always will be sorely missed
at the center.
