Image Analysis Lab - Texas A&M University

Welcome from Director

Welcome to the Image Analysis Laboratory (IAL) website. The IAL was established in 1987 to serve microscopy and imaging needs of the investigators in the College of Veterinary Medicine (CVM), the laboratory has expanded to serve a broader cross section of the university in addition to researchers from outside of the university. As a facility core for both the interdisciplinary NIEHS-supported Center for Environmental and Rural Health and Superfund Basic Research Program Project, a Toxicogenomics Program Project, and microscopy resource for the various interdisciplinary faculties that involve CVM faculty and students.

Our goal is to provide state-of-the-art optical microscopy technologies for research and teaching in life sciences. Emphasis is placed on integration of advances in vital analytical cellular imaging and fluorescence probe technologies to provide some of the most sensitive approaches for analysis of the molecular aspects of cellular function, an approach we refer to as "cellulomics."
