Kyle Phillips

Kyle grew up in the small Texas town of Lampasas.  He moved to Aggieland in 2003, where he studied biomedical sciences and psychology and minored in English.  While working fulltime at TVMDL, Kyle earned his masters in biomedical sciences with an emphasis in human nutrition.  In 2015, he left his post as lead of the Serology department in order to further his graduate education.

Now at the GI Lab, Kyle is pursuing his doctorate in biomedical sciences under the tutelage of Dr. Jonathan Lidbury.  Kyle’s current research interests include the quantification of biomarkers of oxidative stress in dogs with gastrointestinal disease and the development of novel immunoassays to assess liver health in companion animals.

In his spare time, Kyle enjoys playing with his adorable miniature schnauzers, restoring vintage electronics, and gardening.  He aspires to one day become a professor at a major university like Texas A&M.
