Dr. Rachel Pilla
Rachel obtained her DVM in Brazil in 2008, and her PhD in
Veterinary Pathology and Animal Hygiene in 2013 in Milan, Italy.
She spent 2 years as a postdoctoral fellow at the Bernhard-Nocht
Institut in Hamburg, Germany. After that, she returned to Brazil
where she worked for 2 years for a private laboratory as head of
the microbiology lab, and independently as a nutrition consultant.

In her free time she enjoys spending time with her husband and
their two Italian greyhounds. She is also a volunteer for the South
Texas branch of the Italian Greyhound Club of America Rescue.
