After completing his veterinary degree at Ross University and a subsequent large animal internship at the University of Minnesota, Micah enrolled in the PhD program at the GI Lab. His PhD project involves the development of new markers for hepatic dysfunction in dogs. Additionally, he works on hereditary markers for pancreatitis, cobalamin deficiency, and other familiar gastrointestinal disease of dogs. His "part-time" research deals with emerging tropical diseases such as Canine Schistosomiasis and Spirocercosis. One day he plans on returning to the Caribbean to teach and relax.
