Amanda Blake

Amanda joined the Gastrointestinal Lab in the fall of 2014 as a student worker and graduated from Texas A&M in May 2015 with a BS in biomedical science and a double major in entomology. She went on to complete a masters degree with the GI Lab in May of 2017 working with lactate in dogs with GI disease. Amanda is currently pursuing a PhD focusing on the role of amino acids and other metabolites in gastrointestinal diseases.Outside of the lab, Amanda enjoys fishing, wakeboarding and surfing, learning how to cook from Pinterest, and volunteering at the humane society.
