Control ranges (dogs and cats):

Fasting (12 hour) bile acid concentrations should be less than 13 μmol/L.

Two hour post feeding concentrations should be less than 30 μmol/L.

Elevated concentrations are indicative of significant hepatobiliary dysfunction.
