Mission Statement:

On March 9, 2001 students from the Texas A&M University (TAMU) and the University of Georgia (UGA) traveled to Santiago Chile as part of the "Veterinary Curriculum Issues in the Millennium: Emerging Diseases, Food Safety, Bioterrorism and Food Security " project. Our goal was to examine the efforts by which Chile's government, veternairians, and culture responds to a foreign animal disease. Furthermore, examining how they were educating future veterinary students for foreign animal diseases was experienced. The goal was accomplished by investigating the control measures, surveillance methodology, and biosecurity efforts of Foot and Mouth Disease that Chile practiced.
