The Department of Veterinary Integrative Biosciences in the College of Veterinary Medicine and Biomedical Sciences (CVMBS) at Texas A&M University invites applicants for up to three 12-month, fully budgeted, tenure-track faculty positions at the full, associate or assistant professor level in the area of epidemiology. We seek energetic individuals applying innovative epidemiological approaches to solve animal and human health problems. Applicants with a background in computational biology/ medicine, biometry and bioinformatics are also encouraged to apply.
The successful candidates will be expected to develop and sustain vigorous extramurally funded research programs, supervise graduate students in the Epidemiology Program and teach graduate-level epidemiological methods and/or epidemiology and public health to veterinary students in the professional curriculum. The positions require a PhD degree (or equivalent) and an accomplished record of publication. A DVM (or equivalent) is desirable. Broad collaborative opportunities are available, including the potential to work with: clinical veterinarians working within the CVMBS, members of interdisciplinary faculties in genetics, toxicology, environmental health, reproductive biology, and neuroscience, the Texas Veterinary Medical Diagnostic Laboratory, practicing veterinarians in the community, and members of local, state and federal government agencies. Salary and start-up packages will be competitive and commensurate with levels of accomplishment.
