The College of Veterinary Medicine and Biomedical Sciences at Texas A&M University invites applications for a tenure track or clinical track faculty position at the Assistant or Associate Professor level in Veterinary Neurology.
Qualifications
Applicants should be board certified in the specialty of neurology or eligible for certification in neurology. In addition, a record of experience and excellence in didactic and clinical teaching is highly desirable. Applicants must be eligible for regular or special licensure in the State of Texas.
The successful candidate will be expected to contribute to instruction and patient care in the Veterinary Medical Teaching Hospital. Small animal clinical duties will be shared with another board-certified neurologist and with at least one small animal surgeon on a rotating basis. The remaining time will be devoted to classroom and laboratory teaching, the development of a creative program of scholarship, and academic service. Numerous opportunities for collaborative research exist throughout the College and University. The neurology program is supported by an on-site 1.0T Siemens MRI unit, an on-site CT (with 3-D reconstruction capability), fluoroscopy, digital radiography, two electrodiagnostic machines, a cavitational ultrasonic aspirator (CUSA), and stereotactic biopsy equipment .
