General Project Considerations

  • Pick two of the three parts of a projects completion that is most important to you..... price, quality, or time.
  • If you are designing your own poster for printing, DO NOT use Powerpoint. Unfortunately, the program is primarily designed for producing slides and onscreen presentations. Therefore, it does not always *agree* with the printer's Fiery RIP (Raster Image Processor) when it comes to printing. Fonts drop out, pictures print poorly, page items get rearranged, etc.

Poster Design

  • If you are creating a layout to be printed poster size, it is recommended that you use Photoshop for image editing only, not recommended for entire poster layout. Use of Photoshop for such a large print requires a huge file that cannot always be handled by our printer.
