Sample Submission Instructions
DIRECT SUBMISSION
Samples can be dropped off directly in VMR 226 (click for map). Temporary parking is available across from parking lot 24, in front of the TIGM Building.
OPTIONAL SAMPLE DROP-OFF
A freezer is available in the VTPB Store Room (VMS 215) for convenient sample submission. Samples will be collected daily at 1:00 pm. See Emmy in the VTPB Store Room for details.
SAMPLE PICK-UP
Call 979-862-3991 or e-mail derrlab@cvm.tamu.edu to have samples picked up directly from you. If contacted before 1:00 pm, we will pickup your sample(s) the same day.
OFF-SITE SHIPPING
- We accept DNA samples only (e.g., PCR/sequencing products)
- DO NOT SHIP LIVE SPECIMENS
- Include sequencing or genotyping form with your samples, and indicate method of payment on form
- Ensure that all samples are clearly labeled and sealed securely
- For overnight shipments, frozen cold packs can be used to keep the samples chilled (dry ice is not necessary)
