Emergency laboratory support can be reached after 9 PM weekdays* and 11 AM weekends* via the cell phone 979-412-3116. DO NOT CALL TECHNICIAN UNTIL BLOOD HAS BEEN DRAWN!!! Response time is 30 minutes. In the event that a technician is unable to be reached, page the pathologist on duty @ 228-4464.
The lab is also open 5 PM-9 PM on weekdays* and 8 AM-11 AM on weekends. Due to limited staff during these hours, some tests may not be available. On weekends the lab accepts samples at 8 AM while daily machine maintenance and quality control procedures are being performed. Because these procedures require a set period of time during which machines are not available for testing, samples will not be analyzed until approximately 9 AM. Research samples will not be accepted during these hours without special arrangement.
