2+2 Agreement Between Palo Alto Community College and Biomedical Science

This agreement serves to facilitate the admission and academic transfer of students from Palo Alto College in the Alamo Community College District to the Biomedical Science program (BIMS) in the Texas A&M University College of Veterinary Medicine. As students progress successfully toward the completion of the Associate of Science degree, this agreement will ensure the seamless transition of students into the BIMS program according to the provisions and conditions below.

1.     Palo Alto students who complete the attached degree plan, as full time students will be admitted to the BIMS program automatically provided they meet all other general admission requirements (i.e., transcripts, applications, timelines, etc.) to Texas A&M University.

2.     Students must have maintained no less than a 3.60 GPA in the courses taken at Palo Alto and be eligible for graduation from Palo Alto

3.     Students must not have made any grade below a "B" in all of their Common Body of Knowledge (CBK) science and math coursework.

4.     This agreement will be reviewed on an annual basis and may be amended by mutual written consent of both parties by issuing an addendum to this agreement.

5.     This agreement will commence effective the Fall 2001 semester with commitment of a five (5) year period.
