Points System: A new feature this year
Earn one point each for attendance at 50X rounds, Friday gross rounds, and mystery slides. Those that accumulate 15 points get a path related prize.
Mystery Slides: Work your skills

Another new feature this year. As seen at the yearly ACVP conference, mystery slides offer you an opportunity to test your skills. One slide will be available for your review each month in a room TBA. On your own time (b/w 9am-6pm M-F) surf around on the slide, write a paragraph describing what you see and offer a tentative diagnosis. Completion will win you a prize. Completion with correct diagnosis yields a more valuable prize.
Fri, August 24th: 4:00-5pm The Necropolis
Friday Afternoon gross rounds with 4VMs, residents and faculty. Come to the necropsy building to see 4VM clinical case presentations (small, equine, food animal). Tissues will be passed around for hands-on learning while we discuss pathogenesis, cause of death, etc. Don't wear your nicest clothes...especially if Dr. Edwards is on! Everyone is invited.

"Welcome to the Path Club" - learn about member benefits and what's in store for the year. Learn the difference between anatomic vs. clinical pathology, meet the faculty, see the facilities and get a feel for how things work in "The Necropolis". Dinner will be served and DOOR PRIZES distributed.

Lunchtime "50X" rounds - For members only. Come see residents present unique cases from the hospital. Review the case from admission to necropsy then look at images and slides for a diagnosis. Don't be shy...you won't be singled out - it's a casual laid-back atmosphere. Free lunch from PotBelly's and earn points for attending!
