Texas A&M University invites applications and nominations for the position of Dean of the College of Veterinary Medicine and Biomedical Sciences.  The Dean serves as the principal academic leader and chief executive officer of the College and reports to the Executive Vice President for Academics and Provost.  An earned D.V.M. is required; candidates with a D.V.M. and Ph.D. are preferred.  Candidates should possess distinguished scholarly credentials, a record of exemplary professional service and significant academic experience in a field of study represented by the College of Veterinary Medicine.  The successful candidate should have thorough familiarity with the philosophy and responsibilities of a large land-grant institution with teaching, research and service missions.  The Dean should have the breadth of understanding and the creative imagination necessary to provide leadership, development and policy formulation for the multiple missions of a comprehensive College of Veterinary Medicine with major initiatives at the state, national and international levels.  Additional college and search information is available at www.cvm.tamu.edu/deansearch.
