Continuing Education

Our Mission

The mission of the Texas A&M College of Veterinary Medicine & Biomedical Sciences (CVM) Office of Continuing Education is to provide quality continuing education for veterinarians, veterinary technicians, and various animal-producer groups. Annual programs include conferences in equine, food animal, companion animal, exotic game, and exotic pet medicine and surgery.

2019 Conferences

Food Animal Conference: Fri.–Sat., May 31–Jun. 1

Profit from discussions on lameness, pain management and anesthesia, responsible use of antibiotics, nontraditional species, and veterinary education. Meet new TAMU food animal faculty members. Veterinary Technicians Conference: Fri.–Sun., Jun. 21–23

Our biggest conference of the year with large animal, small animal, professional development and wet lab tracks. Get in on the fun, networking, and learning, and earn up to 14 hours of CE credit. Early Bird Registration ends June 6, 2019.

Area Hotels

Rooms at Hyatt Place and Hawthorn Hotel Suites are available on a first come, first served basis for our guests at a negotiated, discounted rate. A complimentary full, hot breakfast, WiFi, and parking is included in all rates listed below. Ideally situated one mile from the beautiful campus of Texas A&M University and near Easterwood Airport. These College Station hotels are central to a variety of local sport arenas, including the Reed Arena, Kyle Field, and Veterans Park. Shuttles to and from our facilities at the beginning and end of our day will be made available to guests staying at these hotels.

Cancellation & Refunds

If cancellation is made during the early bird registration period for the conference, a refund of 80 percent of the registration fee will be given.
Cancellations after the early bird registration closes are not eligible for a refund. However, in some cases, part or all of the registration fee may qualify for credit towards another one of our conferences.

Location

Most conferences will be held at the CVM. The CVM is located on Raymond Stotzer Parkway (FM 60) in College Station.
Use the address 660 Raymond Stotzer Parkway for Google Maps.

If you're arriving via Highway 6, take the University Drive exit and proceed west on University Drive (which becomes Raymond Stotzer Parkway). In about three miles, you'll drive under an overpass. Make a right at the second traffic light to enter the Veterinary & Biomedical Education Complex (VBEC).

If you're arriving via from the west on Highway 21, exit Highway 47 at the Texas A&M RELLIS campus. Continue on Highway 47 until it intersects with Raymond Stotzer Parkway (FM 60), and head east toward the main Texas A&M campus. The CVM is on the left at the second traffic light past the overpass, approximately one mile east of Easterwood Airport.

Note: There is currently construction at the intersection of FM 60 and FM 2818. Some of the exit ramps are closed periodically, so, you may not be able to enter or exit FM 2818 or FM 60 at this intersection.
